| | Land Rover ready to help during cold spell | | Land Rover is on standby to offer the services of up to 100 vehicles and off-road experts, following extreme weather warnings for central and north-west areas of the UK.
As in previous years, all 10 Land Rover Experience centres in the UK will be available today to assist the local emergency services - including highway patrols, fire services and local police forces. They will also help to recover vehicles broken down in the bad weather and vehicles involved in road traffic accidents.John Edwards, Land Rover UK managing director, said: 'Year after year Land Rover has assisted local authorities in severe weather and emergency situations. With such an extreme forecast for the next few days, we've assured them that our vehicles will once again be available should they need them.' | |

| | 1996 Land Rover Discovery | | I'm having a bit of trouble with my Rover, after about 5 or 10 minutes of driving it starts hesitating as I step on the gas, then suddenly the speedometer dies and the car runs perfectly and when the speedometer comes back up I get the same problem again, It looks like an electrical problem but since I just bought my first Land Rover I don't have much experince and I figure maybe someone out there has had the same problem and can give me a tip on where to look or what to do.

| What car do you drive? | | Hey guys, just writing here to see what cars you all drive? I live in England here out in the countryside so I drive a Land Rover Defender 90 2.25 Petrol. Fuel consumption isn't that great though so I am looking to get a TD5 from around the 2004-2006 period sometime in the next few years. They have a nice bit of power in them and much better fuel economy, though I think the 200 and 300 TDI engines are still the best for MPG. Not too sure about the new transit engine, though. | |
| | What is your dream car? | | now saying that if money was no object and you could get any car you wanted what would you choose.My car would be a movie car i remember watching the movie i think it was called Cannonball Run 2 it was one of Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise it was so funny anyway in that movie is a car called a Lamborghini that has doors that open up instead of out and the thing about that car i remember the most is it was fast.So what would be yours give a description of the make and model and color of what would be your dream car.I know mine probably would not be practical especially with the price of gas as it is now, but it is fun to dream. | |

| | ## I went to Van Demons Land, TRUE ## | | For those who do not know and thats OK, Van Demons Land is now known as TASMANIA.And why did I call it by its old name, for many of you, you have not seen me here for about two weeks.I took the Land Rover and went on the Spirit Of TASMANIA (SHIP).From main land Australia (Melbourne) to Tasmania (Devonport)is about 195 Miles (312 kms.)You get on board at 7 pm at night and arrive at 7 am next morning.The Van Demons land trip was to do some genealogy.Both sets of Great grand parents came to Tasmania in the 1800 when Tasmania was called Van Demons land.All the research I did was over a 100 years old, Grave sites, old written records, Schools, Towns, Houses and land.I found out so much about my family, I found the both Farms they owned, I found the House my Grand father was born in, I found a great auntie's grave she died when she was 19,I found the house my great grand aunt lived in. I found living relatives I have never met or even knew.Just one day in Tasmania for me was so wonderful, but everyday I was there I gained more and more Genealogy on my Family.Like I said one day payed for the trip in the information I got but 10 to 14 days of it, I am... | |
